ITINERARY
We will meet at the appointed time, or at the time you have booked, at Praça do Comércio to walk through the old city of Lisbon where we will unveil hidden alchemical messages on the façade of the Church of La Concepción Viejastrong, we will talk about the ways of life and customs of the Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures and how they shaped the neighbourhood of Alfama, we will visit the Cathedral, the Basilica of St. Anthony, the old prisons of Aljube and Limoeiro, the picturesque courtyard of Carrasco to learn about the life of Portugal’s last executioner and the emblematic viewpoints of Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol. We will then walk along the walls of the mythical Castle of São Jorge to learn about its history, the birth of Portugal, the conquest of the city and the best love story of the Middle Ages, that of Pedro I and Inês de Castro. To round off the tour you will enjoy the best and unique views of the city from the fortress viewers.
