I’m sure you’ve seen thousands of films in which a totally random door you can access a place you would never imagine: the wardrobe to Narnia, libraries that are doors to the most precious treasures, ventilation ducts to secret rooms… Well, in today’s post we will not explain how to go to a parallel dimension, but to a place that you will surely not expect to arrive in this way and in which you will have a of the best views of the city of Lisbon.
We are referring to Parking Bar, a roof terrace located in Bairro Alto, the party heart of the Portuguese capital. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 13:00h to 02:00h and on Sundays from 13:00h to 20:00h.
Here you can have tea, a cocktail or even a delicious healthy menu (for lunch or dinner) while enjoying one of the best 180º views of the city. We recommend you to come at sunset for two reasons: you will be accompanied by a DJ set with house music to liven up the atmosphere and you will enjoy the wonderful sunset.
But the question here is not what, but how. I’m sure you’re wondering what all this has to do with what we mentioned at the beginning, well, here it goes: it is accessed from a car park. If you look up the address on Google Maps and look at the images you will see the entrance to a car park: don’t worry, we haven’t made a mistake. Enter and go to the right, where you will find a door leading to a lift, which takes you up to the top floor. As soon as you leave you will clearly see the entrance, which is guarded by a security guard. And… voilà!, there you have it!
